About Us
Hi, I'm Victoria!
A Colorado native with a love for travel that started with my family showing us the world, turned luxury travel professional with over 10 years in the industry.
Â
My obsession with African travel began when I took my first job working at a cheetah reserve in South Africa at 18. The travel bug hit me hard from then on. This new obsession fueled me to study abroad on Semester at Sea and spend my last college semester in Greece. After I graduated, I moved to Switzerland to work as an Au Pair.
Â
Luckily, I did eventually return home and get a real job.
Â
Throughout my career in the industry, I’ve had the opportunity to work alongside some of the most respected names in luxury and safari travel, including award-winning tour operators recognized by Travel + Leisure as World’s Best Safari Operator and by Condé Nast Traveler for Best Specialist Tour Operator. Being part of these organizations gave me a front-row view of what separates someone that is exceptionally good at what they do. My decade long career working with luxury lodges, hotels, and suppliers across Africa, South America, and Asia helped shaped the expertise I bring to every trip.
Â
Jewell Journeys was created when I realized my passion for travel had turned into a passion for helping others see the world. Guiding my clients to select the destination and itinerary that best suits them, fuels me. With years of experience in the industry and firsthand knowledge of destinations across Africa, South America, Europe, Asia, and beyond, every journey is shaped by what my client's hope to experience during their travels.
Â
African safaris are still my specialty, but I love designing trips far beyond them. A complex European honeymoon, a South American hiking adventure, an Antarctic expedition, or a once-in-a-lifetime safari all deserve the same thing: thoughtful planning, honest advice, and someone who cares about getting the details right.

The most important question of all is, where do you want to go next?

Fun Fact:Â I exclusively carry-on when traveling solo. After my luggage was lost before a gorilla trek in Uganda, I learned the hard way that borrowed, size-too-big, boots and clothes are not a substitute for your own. Never again.
